Plum Blossoms

On February 26th we visited Nakayama Temple, near Allison's school in Takarazuka.  A student recommended it to us, and said that it was famous for it's plum ("ume") blossoms.

It ended up being one of the most worthwhile trips we've had to a temple so far.  It was a very large temple with many smaller temple areas and a large garden area near the mountain.

Without realizing it, we ended up spending about 2 hours walking  around the garden and temple areas... snapping pictures and just admiring the beauty in God's creation.

The wonderful fragrance of the blossoms was so powerful and enchanting!  That's probably why we didn't want to leave for so long... a real "wish we could bottle it" experience!
