Mikage Temple

A small temple at Mikage [Mee-kah-gay] Station

Front Gate

Above is the main entrance to the temple we found at Mikage Station.  It was a small temple about a 5 minute walk from the station.

After walking through this gate, there was a washing well and then some "paper" trees (below).  People write their "wishes" on paper and then tie them to the wires.

Paper Tree

Wooden building for washing well.

Washing well

This wooden shelter looked hand carved.  It covered the washing well where visitors could wash their hands as they entered the temple grounds.
